You know where I learned gun safety? The Army.

Madison Cawthorn is a dangerous traitor. That's not the first time I've said that, and it won't be the last.

But there is one thing Madison and I agree on: the United States military provides the best gun safety training out there. And our soldiers know more about gun safety than most Americans will ever even forget.

Here's where Madison and I disagree: I believe that people in psychiatric distress shouldn't own guns until they're healthy. He won't acknowledge that difficult truth.

I learned this lesson the hard way, when my commanding officer relieved one of my fellow soldiers of his weapon. The commander locked the gun in the armory because it wasn't safe for a soldier in distress to have his own gun.

In the civilian world, some states and communities have created "red flag" laws — allowing police, usually with a court order or at the request of family, to temporarily relieve a person in psychiatric distress of their guns when they are a danger to themselves or others.

It's the same thing we do in the Army. We should follow their lead.

But Madison Cawthorn opposes common-sense red flag laws.

Whether it's gun safety or any other issue, Madison Cawthorn has shown us he's not in Congress to do anything other than hear himself talk. He's said so himself.

Madison has had over a year to prove he can take the job of representing the people of North Carolina seriously. Instead, he's spent his time in Congress spreading lies, dividing us, and making things worse in this country.

At best, Madison Cawthorn is a con man. At worst, he's a dangerous traitor.

I'm sick of Madison and his games, which is why I'm running for Congress. Donate now and let's end Madison Cawthorn's career in Congress.

Let's go!
